What services does Mayflower Car Rental offer?
We provide a full range of mobility solutions including short-term rentals, long-term leasing, corporate fleet services, coach rentals, chauffeur-driven vehicles, and specialised rentals for events and projects.

Where are your locations?
Our headquarters is in Kuala Lumpur, with branches in Penang, Kuantan, Johor, Kuching, Bintulu, Miri, Kota Kinabalu, and Sandakan. Delivery and pick-up services are available in other areas upon request.

How do I book a vehicle?
You can book directly via our website, call our reservations team, or visit any of our branches. Corporate customers may also contact our sales team for customised leasing packages.

How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 48 hours in advance for short-term rentals, and 3-4 months for long-term leasing or specific vehicle models, as lead times depend on availability from vendors.

Can I modify or cancel my booking?
Yes, modifications and cancellations are allowed within the terms of your booking confirmation for short-term rental. Cancellation charges may apply.

What types of vehicles do you offer?
Our fleet includes economy sedans, SUVs, MPVs, luxury cars, 4×4 pickups, panel vans, and buses. We also offer specialised vehicles for corporate, government, and event use.

Can I request a specific model or colour?
We will do our best to accommodate requests, subject to availability.

What is included in the rental rate?
Rates typically include vehicle protections, vehicle maintenance, and 24/7 roadside assistance. Fuel, tolls, parking, and optional add-ons are charged separately.

Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes. For personal rentals, we place a pre-authorisation hold on your payment card at the start of the rental as a security deposit. This is not a charge, but a temporary hold on funds. Please ensure your card has sufficient available funds or credit to cover this amount.

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major credit cards, and corporate billing for approved accounts.

When will my deposit be released?
The hold is released after the rental is completed and final charges are settled. If you pay with a different card at the end of the rental, your bank may take up to 14-30 days to release the original hold, depending on their policies. We are not responsible for any delays caused by your bank.

Is insurance included?
Yes, all vehicles come with Mayflower Vehicle Protections. Optional coverage for reduced excess or zero excess is available.

What if I have an accident or breakdown?
Contact our 24/7 roadside assistance hotline immediately. We will arrange towing, repairs, or a replacement vehicle, subject to your contract terms. In the event of an accident, you are required to lodge a police report within 24 hours of the incident.

Are there age or licence requirements?
Yes. Drivers must be between 21 and 65 years old and hold a valid driving licence with a minimum of two years’ driving experience.

Can I take the vehicle across state borders or overseas?
Interstate travel is allowed, but overseas travel (e.g., to Thailand or Singapore) is not permitted.

Do you offer fleet leasing for businesses?
Yes. We provide tailored leasing solutions for corporations, government agencies, and SMEs — including flexible terms, fleet management, and cost optimisation.

Can you deliver vehicles to our office or project site?
Absolutely. We offer nationwide delivery and collection for our corporate clients.

How do I return the vehicle?
Return it to the agreed branch or arrange for a pick-up. Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level and in the same condition.

Can I extend my rental?
Yes, subject to availability.
